USING AFTER EFFECTS CS4
Effects and animation presets

Tritone effect
The Tritone effect alters the color information of a layer by mapping bright, dark, and midtone pixels to colors that
you select. The Tritone effect is like the Tint effect, except with midtone control.
This effect works with 8-bpc, 16-bpc, and 32-bpc color.
Blend With Original The transparency of the effect. The result of the effect is blended with the original image, with the
effect result composited on top. The higher you set this value, the less the effect affects the layer. For example, if you
set this value to 100%, the effect has no visible result on the layer; if you set this value to 0%, the original image doesn’t
show through.

Distort effects
You can use each of the Distort effects to distort (morph) an image.
Additional resources about Distort effects
Aharon Rabinowitz provides a project on his All Bets Are Off website that demonstrates the use of the CC Page Turn
effect to tear a piece of paper.
Bezier Warp effect
The Bezier Warp effect shapes an image using a closed Bezier curve along the boundary of a layer. The curve consists
of four segments. Each segment has three points (a vertex and two tangents).
Andrew Kramer provides a video tutorial on his Video Copilot website that demonstrates the use of the Bezier Warp
effect.
This effect works with 8-bpc and 16-bpc color.
